What are the cupping marks?

The cupping marks are sticky fluids trapped in the tissue. This can often be caused by trauma or poor circulation to that tissue preventing blood, lymph and toxins from draining. Over time this stagnant tissue can begin to discolor. When we use cupping in these areas it can bring that stagnation to the surface leaving marks.

When this stagnation comes to the surface some of these sticky fluids will be picked up by the lymphatic system and drain out and some will sink back down to the deeper layers. This means through multiple sessions you will see people mark less and less.
