Dealing with GERD and Stomach Issues

The stomach is the first organ in the gastrointestinal tract. Food enters the mouth, travels down the esophagus, and enters the stomach. The stomach produces stomach acid to help break down the food. There are also valves/sphincters that open and close throughout the body. There is a valve that occurs between the esophagus and stomach to prevent food from going back up into the esophagus and one at the end of the stomach to allow food to pass into the small intestine.

What is GERD?

GERD or Gastroesphageal Reflux Disease occurs when the stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the esophagus (tube connecting your mouth to you stomach). This backwash of acid can irritate the esophagus and cause pain.

Client Experience:

I recently had a client come in with GERD and a lot of stomach and pain below the sternum. She was dealing with excess stress due to work and travel as of recently too.

We decided to take a P-DTR approach and I wanted to check everything that had to do with the stomach, digestive system, time of day and more. We started by finding and clearing any dysfunctions related to meridians, stomach/liver/gall bladder dysfunctions, and cleared a digestive sequence which was created by emotional problems.

We followed with some photobiomodulation on the stomach to give the stomach the resources and energy it needs to recover post session after the neurological corrections.

I followed up with this client 2 days and also 1.5 months later and she hadn't experienced any of her daily GERD symptoms since our session!
