Client Success Stories of Treating Light Sensitivity & Vertigo
Recently Level Up had a quite fascinating success story regarding optic nerve corrections. This was a great application of how P-DTR can be used to assess and treat the cranial nerves that might have developed hypersensitivity due to past trauma.
Background: What is the basic function of the Optic Nerve (CN II)?
The optic nerve is a cranial nerve with the function of carrying electrical visual signals from the retina at the back of the eye to the brains visual cortex for sight. This includes other things such as color and light sensitivity.

Clients who develop issues with this nerve might have trouble with natural or shades of light and feel very overstimulated when exposed, might feel like the lights are turned up and everything is extra bright, and might have issues that develop like headaches or migraines when exposed to light.
Client Success Story:
Client recently came in with a history of light sensitivity after a car accident 3 years ago. He had sense warn light sensitivity sunglasses daily and was also especially sensitivity to blue and violet light. It should be noted this client was seeing another practitioner for the light sensitivity and going through training but still had not noticed much difference.
Finally one treatment session we spent an hour working on assessing and treating both eyes and the cranial nerve using P-DTR. Immediately following the session when leaving the office the client already noticed a dramatic difference and by the next session a week later was no longer wearing the light sensitivity sunglasses. He still noticed issues after attending a light show which I believe is due to the cranial nerve still strengthening and being over stimulated. And observing blue and violet shades of light which we are going to work on in future sessions.
Background: What Cranial Nerve can create issues with Vertigo?
The vestibulocochlear nerve (also known as the eighth cranial nerve, or CN VIII) is a purely sensory nerve responsible for transmitting sound and equilibrium (balance) information from the inner ear to the brain. This means if you have issues with this nerve you might have sound sensitivity issues or possibly easily get motion sick, sea sick, vertigo and have balance issues.

Client Success Story:
Client originally found me for treating the vertigo they were experiencing in daily life, but especially during yoga when doing movements that involve bending the spine/neck backwards and forwards.
We started working on assessing all thing related to the vestibular division of the cranial nerve which involves treating with P-DTR while moving the head through a variety of different motions. After clearing this and fine tuning it over a couple of sessions including one fear paralysis issue this client has been vertigo free for over a year now!
