My Favorite P-DTR Cases I Still Talk About Part 2

P-DTR is a functional neurology technique which works to reprogram and calibrate how the body interprets information. This can include and affect many things including ligaments, tendons, muscles, organs, emotions, cranial nerves and more!

Here are some more of my favorite cases since the start of my career.

Pain Putting Seat-belt on for 2 Years

One of my clients mentioned wanting to work on his shoulder. He was having pain when putting on a seat-belt and the arm came cross body. He had been going to physical therapy for 2 years and said they had run out of ideas.

Putting Seatbelt on

We started by testing muscles associated with rotation and crossing the body. Once we cleared those issues out I had my client use a band for resistance and tested the motion of putting on the seat-belt.

After this 30mins of pdtr work his pain went away and years later hasn't come back.

10Years of Sciatica Gone in 60mins

I once had a woman who experienced sciatica for the past 10 years. She just came to me that day after being tested for sciatica at a clinic. They had her lay face up on a table and took imaging as well as ran tests. When I asked if she ever feels her sciatica symptoms when laying down and she told me no.

After the client told me she didn’t suffer any sciatica symptoms laying on her back I wanted to confirm for myself through muscles testing. Sure enough all the muscles for the most part tested okay or at least didn’t have any nerve entrapment related symptoms when laying face-up on the table.

However, when I had her go to a seated position which is when she feels sciatica symptoms the most that was another story. The piriformis was locked and everything below it that is innervated by the sciatic nerve was weak. So not only did we clear that but we found if she tilted her pelvis in a slouch position it would also create nerve entrapment, then moving the neck to specific positions where her laptops are would also recreate nerve entrapment. We ended up testing and clearing a large variety of nerve entrapment positions and restored motor function to the lower body.

She is still a client of mine 2 years later and still no sciatica issues.

Rotator Cuff Instability and Chronic Dislocations

One of my hypermobile clients had a history of dislocating her shoulder. One day she came in and said she felt like it was about to dislocate and it felt very fragile and she was being extra cautious.

Chronic Shoulder Pain

After asking if she would be comfortable testing the muscles with light pressure we found all the muscles around the rotator cuff to be extremely inhibited. We spent the better hour of a session working just on getting all the rotator cuff muscles and deltoids online and she felt great.

Since our session her shoulder has been great and has very solid and secure.
