P-DTR is a functional neurology technique which works to reprogram and calibrate how the body interprets information. This can include and affect many things including ligaments, tendons, muscles, organs, emotions, cranial nerves and more!
Here are some of my most interesting P-DTR cases so far in my career.
Chronic Jaw Pain and the Purple Dress
I have a client who came in for her first session with chronic jaw pain and issues she has had since childhood. Literally breaking bite guards and more. I checked a couple things with P-DTR and it eventually lead me to emotional issues. We found it was related to her mother and with her permission we worked through complex emotions related to her. We finished up the treatment and she left feeling great.

Later she returned and mentioned she went out and bought a purple dress after our session. I was like "okay....." Turns out she used to want to or would throw up after seeing the color purple which was her mother's favorite color.
After our emotional work both her jaw and the color purple no longer bother her even after seeing her for the years following.
Shoulder Pain from Childhood Ankle Sprain
One evening I had a woman in her mid 20's come in who had chronic neck pain and could never find relief. She had this issue since childhood and nothing could help it.

I started buy asking if her neck pain was worse during walking, standing, seated, or laying down. She mentioned it really ramps up when she is walking. This is one of the rarer reasons I see for when chronic neck pain bothers people so I looked to her gait and specifically the ligaments associated with the neck around the ankle.

We started by testing the upper traps and found them to be Hypertonic and when i helped regulate stretch within the ankle ligament then her neck temporarily became normal. We began following P-DTR procedure treating the golgi tendon organs (stretch/tension receptors) in the ligament and the traps came back as normal and the tension disappeared. During treatment she asked why that ligament was so uncomfortable and when I asked "did you ever sprain an ankle" she then told me she had when she was a child....right around when the neck pain started.
I later saw this client 2 months after that session and her neck pain stopped bothering her and hadn't come back .
Trimalleolar Fracture
I had a client who had a Trimalleolar fracture in 2018 where it shattered in 3 pieces. She had a lot of reconstruction and went through lots of physical therapy but there was still an issue with pain, strength and overall confidence trusting the ankle.
On our first visit we focused on the muscles around the ankle complex and below the knee. The 2nd visit we focused on ligaments in the ankle and general nociception and spinopathways in the area. After these first 2 sessions the ankle itself was feeling great but whenever she had to go down steps, get out of bed, or get off the bus she felt fear and scared to trust it even though it was feeling better. On our third session we focused on complex emotional corrections and fear through the spinomesencephalic associated with the ankle and found some great things to work though. After this session she has felt great and now longer has any fear or thoughts regarding the ankle in every day life.
